Our first destination is Bahariya Oasis, located about 370 kilometers southwest of Cairo. This green oasis is surrounded by a vast expanse of Western Desert and is famous for its palm trees, hot springs, and unique local charm.
First, we will head to the Black Desert, named after its dark volcanic rocks, a stark contrast to the surrounding landscape, creating a captivating visual spectacle. Explore unique geological formations.
Next, we will visit Crystal Mountain, where you will see the natural wonder of quartz crystals found in the rocks. This dazzling sight has attracted many travelers over the years.
Then head to have a traditional Egyptian lunch at one of the local restaurants in Bahariya Oasis.
After lunch, we will head to visit the Temple of Alexander the Great and the nearby hot springs, where you can relax and rejuvenate.
After finishing, we will head to our desert camp in the White Desert, where you will enjoy the magic of camping under the stars. Our campfire dinner will be accompanied by tales of desert history and folklore, creating an unforgettable and immersive evening.
Overnight Camping in the White Desert
Meals: Lunch – Din
Wake up to the stunning beauty of the White Desert as the first rays of the sun paint the landscape in shades of gold and orange. After a delicious breakfast, we will proceed to explore this unique and exotic environment.
The White Desert gets its name from the stunning white chalk formations that dot the landscape, resembling giant mushrooms, ice cream cones, and even sculptures created by the hand of nature. You’ll have plenty of time to wander this surreal landscape, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
One of the most prominent features of the White Desert is the “Magic Spring”, which is a natural spring that seems to appear miraculously in the middle of the barren desert. I will share with you the local legends and stories surrounding this magical spring as we enjoy its beauty.
We’ll also explore formations known as “Chicken and the Tree” and “Mushroom Rock,” each with its own interesting shape and history. Throughout our journey, I’ll explain the geological processes that shaped these incredible landmarks over millions of years.
As the day progresses, we will enjoy a scenic lunch, allowing you to savor the serenity of the desert. This is also a great time to reflect on your adventures and enjoy the vastness of the desert.
After finishing, we will begin our return trip to Cairo, to bid farewell to the White Desert and Bahariya Oasis. Upon arrival, our representative will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo.
