You will be picked up in the early morning and taken to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, our tour guide will collect you to start your tour on the east bank of the Nile at the Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex ever built. It was dedicated to the god Amon, his wife, Mut, and his son Khonsu. Then move to the west bank of the Nile to visit the Valley of the Kings and see the tombs of the most famous kings of the New Kingdom period, like the great Ramses II and the boy king Tutankhamun. Visit Hatshepsut’s temple, one of the best-preserved temples of ancient Egypt. Hatshepsut was the only woman to have ruled ancient Egypt. Enjoy lunch before you visit the colossi of Memnon, two huge statues of King Amenhotep III. The statues of sandstone and quartzite are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. Then you will be transferred back to Luxor airport for your flight back to Cairo, where you will be taken back to your hotel.
