You are met on arrival at the Cairo International Airport by our representative, who will assist you with the customs formalities and transfer you to your five-star hotel in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Stay overnight in Cairo.
After breakfast at your hotel, you are transported to the Pyramids of Giza to visit the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the second Pyramid of King Chephren, the third pyramid of King Mycerinus and the Great Sphinx. Enjoy an amazing view of nine pyramids in one line. Enjoy lunch at an elite restaurant with a view of the Nile River. In the afternoon, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, which exhibits a collection of about 120 000 masterpieces dating back to the prehistoric, pharaonic and Greek-Roman periods in Egypt. See the treasures of King Tutankhamun, including his gold mask and gold coffin. In the evening, you are transferred to the railway station to board a first-class sleeper train to Aswan. Overnight on the train.
After breakfast on board the train, you are met in Aswan by our expert tour guide and transferred to a cruise boat on the Nile River, where you will spend the next four days and three nights. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea is included during the cruise. Later, you are taken on an exciting tour of the Aswan High Dam, which was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s. You are also taken by motorboat to the island of Egilka to visit the majestic temple of Philae, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Overnight on the cruise boat.
After breakfast on board, you start sailing until you reach your first stop at Kom Ombo after a few hours. Visit the temple at Kom Ombo, which is dedicated to the gods Horus, the great god of protection, and Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of fertility. Back on the boat, enjoy lunch and leisure time while sailing to Edfu. You will stop at Edfu to visit the impressive temple of the god Horus, considered to be one of the best preserved temples in Egypt. Continue your cruise to Luxor while afternoon tea is served on the sun deck. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay on the boat.
After breakfast on board, visit the most famous sites on the West Bank of the Nile. Explore the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, Queen Hatshepsut’s temple and see the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Return to the boat for lunch. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure on the boat, where afternoon tea and dinner is served. Overnight on the cruise boat.
After breakfast on board, visit the Karnak Temple, the largest temple ever constructed. It is considered a record of Egyptian history as nearly all the kings recorded their greatest victories in the temple. Also visit the magnificent Luxor Temple. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Luxor station to board a sleeper train to Cairo. Enjoy dinner and your overnight stay on board.
After breakfast on board the train, disembark at Giza station, where you are met and driven to your hotel in Cairo. In the afternoon, visit the Citadel of Salah al-Din, where the Alabaster Mosque is located. Discover the Christian heritage in Coptic Cairo, including the Hanging Church or Suspended Church, named like this because it was built on the southern gate of the fortress of Babylon. It became the centre of the Christian church of Egypt. In the evening, you may attend a sound and light show in the vicinity of the pyramids (optional). Stay overnight in Cairo.
After breakfast at your hotel, you are transferred from your hotel to Cairo International Airport for your trip back home with wonderful memories of Egypt.
