You are picked up from your hotel or another location of your choice in Hurghada at 2:00 am and transported to Cairo in a private air-conditioned vehicle. In Cairo, you are met by your private expert Egyptologist tour guide to discover the secrets of the ancient Egyptian civilization. Your first stop is the Pyramids of Giza, the only remaining one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. Visit the Great Pyramid of King Cheops, the biggest pyramid in Egypt. It is 147 meters high and consists of about 2.6-million blocks of stone weighing between 2.5 and 15 tonnes each. See the second pyramid of King Chephren and the third pyramid of King Mycerinus. Be amazed by the panoramic view of nine pyramids. See the smaller pyramids of the queens and enter one of them, and visit the valley temple, which was used for the mummification of King Chephren. You will also see the statue of the Great Sphinx, the guardian of the necropolis with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion. Enjoy lunch at an elite restaurant before visiting the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, where more than 250 000 artifacts dating back to ancient Egypt are on display. See the treasures of King Tutankhamun, including his solid gold mask weighing 11 kilograms and his gold coffin of 110 kilograms. The trip includes a shopping tour at the old Khan el-Khalili bazaar. At the end of the day, you will be driven back to Hurghada in a private air-conditioned vehicle and delivered at your hotel. Mineral water and a soft drink per person are available in the vehicle.
