In the early morning, you will be picked up from your hotel or another location of your choice in Hurghada to be transported to Luxor in a private air-conditioned vehicle. In Luxor, you will be met by your private expert tour guide to help you explore the magnificent city of Luxor. Your first stop is the Karnak temple complex, the largest temple complex ever built. The great Hypostyle Hall contains an incredible forest of 134 gigantic pillars. Then visit the temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, one of the best-preserved temples of ancient Egypt. Hatshepsut was the daughter of King Thutmose and the only woman to have ruled ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels with two ramps in a central position to join the levels. Enjoy lunch in a good local restaurant on the Nile River bank before proceeding to the Valley of the Kings. Your trip to Luxor would be incomplete without seeing this valley known in ancient times as the city of the dead. The burial site contains 63 tombs of the most famous kings of the New Kingdom period. You will visit three of these tombs. At an extra charge, you may also visit more tombs, such as that of King Tutankhamun and King Ramses. See the colossi of Memnon, two huge statues of King Amenhotep III. The statues are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. At the end of the day, you will be transported back to your hotel in Hurghada.
