Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Aswan Attractions

In the morning you will be accompanied by your guide from your hotel with a private A/C vehicle to visit:

Aswan High Dam

Built by the orders of president Gamal Abdu El Nasser between 1960 and 1970, The High Dam is located across the Nile River south of Aswan city. The dam was constructed to prevent ad control Nile flooding as well as generating hydroelectricity. The view from the top of the dam is unforgettable and breathtaking scenery.

The Unfinished Obelisk

By the orders of Queen Hatshepsut, The Unfinished Obelisk should be the tallest Obelisk in Egypt with a height of 42m (138ft), but unfortunately, the project stopped after a crack was discovered in the obelisk stone. So it is still at the old quarries of the city.

Lunch break
After enjoying the tour, we are going to stop for having lunch in one of the nice restaurants with quality food to give you the chance to try the taste of oriental food and traditional Egyptian dishes.

Philae Temple

Next, you will visit the amazing temple of Philae which is the last one to be built in the classic ancient Egyptian style. The temple was constructed around 690BC to honor the Goddess Isis.

By the end of the day, you will check in a five-star hotel in Aswan for overnight.

Day 2: Abu Simbel

Early in the morning, your guide will accompany you with a private A/C vehicle heading to the ancient village of Abu Simbel.

Abu Simbel Temples

The two rock-cut temples at Abu Simbel are considered to be masterpieces of ancient Egypt. The temples were built by King Ramses II around 1200 BC. One temple is dedicated to King Ramses II and the second temple is dedicated to his favorite wife, Queen Nefertari.

The temples were discovered in 1813, almost completely covered with sand. The Egyptian government, with the help of UNESCO, moved the temples in 1960 to prevent them from being flooded when the Aswan High Dam was built.

Later you will be transported to Aswan train station where you travel back to Luxor. Finally, at Luxor station, a private A/C vehicle will take you to your hotel.
